Whether you are planning to move to Miami or go there on vacation, you are probably looking for some of the best things to do in Miami with kids of all ages. You are doing the right thing! It is always best to prepare in advance, especially when visiting a city as big as Miami. However, ‘big’ does not represent the actual size or the population in this context. It stands for the vast number of places where you can have fun. Whether you and your family prefer outdoor or indoor activities, be sure that Miami has everything you can think of. And, that will be our topic of that day. In this article, we will talk about all the best things you can do in Miami with kids of all ages.

Beaches Are a Must

Give your kids a few waves, a sandy beach, a bucket, and a shovel, and you are all guaranteed to have a great holiday in Miami! Luckily, Miami is full of beaches – they stretch from Sunny Isles Beach to Key Biscayne. First, go ahead and visit the Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park – one of the most beautiful and most family-friendly beaches in Miami and the entire state of Florida. There, besides swimming, sunbathing, and building sandcastles, you and your kids can also go boating, kayaking, surfing, etc. Moreover, if the kids are taller than 42 inches, you can all visit Cape Florida Lighthouse – a place with the most mind-boggling views. And, when you decide to change things up a bit, we recommend checking out beaches such as Surfside, Crandon Park, and Matheson Hammock Park. They are all safe, clean, family-friendly, and full of the best things to do in Miami with kids of all ages, such as surfing schools, organized water sports, souvenir stores, and ice cream stands.

Be Sure to Visit some of the Parks

Okay, we cannot talk about the best things to do in Miami with kids of all ages without mentioning some of Miami’s parks. There are approximately 150 parks in this fantastic city, but today, we will point out the best of the best. First, go to North Shore Open Space Park – a place where you can have a picnic, hike, play sports, bring your dog, and, of course, enjoy tasty food from the nearby, budget-friendly, and kid-friendly restaurants. Then, check out South Pointe Park – a place where you can witness the most mesmerizing views of the Atlantic and where your children can admire all possible kinds of boats. Lastly, if your little ones like playing football, basketball, volleyball, etc., be sure to go either to Flamingo Park or Kennedy Park.

Water is Everywhere – Check it Out

It would be a shame to come to Miami and experience water only from the beach. Let us explain, though. Miami is a city that is full of water-related activities. For instance, pools. Pools are everywhere, and spending a day at the pool truly is one of the best things to do in Miami with kids of all ages! If you agree, we suggest going to the Venetian pool – a pool loved by both kids and adults. Be sure that whatever fun activities you have in mind, you can experience them here.  However, water-related activities do not have to be only those by the pool. You and your kids can also experience the subtropical wilderness at Everglades National Park. Or, you can learn about Indian tribes at the famous hammock-style camp called Miccosukee Indian Village. And, of course, for the best time of your life, go to one of many water parks in Miami such as Splash Adventure, Paradise Cove, Castaway Island, etc.

Meet the Animals

There is not a kid in the world who does not like animals. Luckily, again, Miami is full of them. Of course, if you do not know where to start with meeting the animals, you can always go to the Miami Zoo. This zoo is home to some of the most interesting animals and plants. There, besides seeing the animals, your little ones can also interact with them. For instance, they can pet baby pandas, feed the giraffes, play with monkeys, etc.

But, if you want to go to a real petting zoo, do not miss the Jungle Island where, besides playing with sloths, lemurs, and kangaroos, you and your kids can also go bungee jumping, zip-lining, rock-wall climbing, or go to an animal-related escape room. For those in love with dolphins and other sea creatures, we suggest Miami Seaquarium. And, for the braver ones who like to hold alligators or stand in the midst of a pack of wolves, Miami Safari Edventure is the place to go.  Moreover, if your kids do not like the idea of moving to Miami, let Verified Movers do all those moving-related things while you and your little ones plan a trip to one of those fantastic places. Trust us – your kids will forget about all the fears and troubles once they go on one of those previously mentioned adventures.

Indoors Can Also Be Fun

One of the last but certainly not least fun things to do in Miami with kids of all ages is spend a day in one of many indoor family-friendly places. For instance, if your kids like bouncing, you can take them to Launch Trampoline Park. If they like rock climbing, you can take them to The Edge Rock Gym. And, if they like ice skating (yes, you heard us), take them to Kendall Ice Arena. But, if you and your kids want a whole day of fun, you cannot miss out on the Fun Dimension. It is located in Wynwood, in of the most affordable neighborhoods in Miami. Fun Dimension is a place to go to if your kids enjoy laser tag, bumper cars, arcade games, and pretty much all the existing indoor activities.
