  1. In the past few years I have gained a lot of weight. I tried several things to lose weight and look fit. Nothing worked for me, until I came across a similar advice as in the post from a friend of mine. I used to eat a lot during the three meals. I changed that habit to eating in smaller quantities for a number of times a day. I drink a lot of water and fruits. On top, I now do some free hand exercises for 40 minutes every day.

For instance, I always try to park my car in the *furtherest* parking space when shopping. Not only do I get less dings on the doors, but it does my heart and body good to walk the extra distance. Related this, I stopped using the drive-thru option at fast food restaurants. That extra walking probably burns off a fry or two. Also, I take the stairs instead of taking the elevator.
